The Flying Eagles of Nigeria booked their place in the semifinals of the WAFU-B U20 Boys’ Cup with a convincing 4-1 victory over Benin Republic at the Prampram Technical Center, Ghana, on July 13, 2025.
Despite going behind early in the 23rd minute through Junior Olugbade’s opener for Benin, the Nigerian side responded with style and intensity. Abdoulahi Abiodun brought Nigeria level in the 38th minute before Ezekiel Anthony gave them the lead shortly after the break in the 48th minute.
Nigeria continued to dominate proceedings, and late goals from Imrana Muhammad (87') and Abduljelil Mustapha (90+4') sealed a comprehensive win for the Flying Eagles.
The result sees Nigeria advance confidently to the semifinals of the 3rd edition of the WAFU-B U20 Boys’ Cup, maintaining their pursuit of regional glory.
