In a thrilling photo finish, Davies edged out Ivorian sprint star Marie Josée Ta Lou-Smith, who clocked 10.92s, narrowly missing the top spot but delivering another elite-level performance.

New Zealand’s Zoe Hobbs also had a record-breaking outing, finishing third in 10.94s, a new national record for her country.
