Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel delivered a sensational performance to win the NCAA men’s 400m hurdles title, clocking a new personal best of 47.49 seconds at the NCAA Championships in Oregon.
The Baylor University standout not only claimed the top spot with the fastest time in the NCAA this season, but also moved up to World No. 2 in 2024. His winning time smashed his own Nigerian national record for the fourth time this year, further cementing his place among the elite in the event.
Ja'Qualon Scott of Texas A&M finished second in 48.29s.
Nathaniel’s dominance marks a significant milestone in Nigerian athletics, as he continues to raise the bar for 400m hurdlers from the continent on the global stage.
