AC Milan director Igli Tare has returned to Italy after a mission in Croatia aimed at securing the signature of Real Madrid legend Luka Modrić.
The Rossoneri have formally offered the 38-year-old midfielder a one-year contract, with an option to extend the deal until June 2027. Modrić, who is out of contract this summer, is now considering the proposal as Milan await his final decision.
Bringing in Modrić would be a statement move by Milan, adding world-class experience and leadership to their midfield as they look to blend youth with proven quality ahead of the new season.
The ball is now in Modrić’s court.
