Yobe Desert Stars and Doma FC Qualify for NNL Super 8 as Adamawa United Relegated

Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu and Doma FC of Gombe have secured their spots in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 after a dramatic conclusion to the regular season.

Yobe Top Conference D with Decisive Win

Yobe Desert Stars clinched their place with a hard-fought 1-0 home victory over Basira in a tightly contested encounter. The win saw Yobe finish at the top of the Conference D table with 20 points, edging out Doma FC, who finished second with 19 points despite being on standby during the final matchday.

Doma FC Progresses, Kebbi Falls Short

Doma FC of Gombe also progressed to the Super 8, securing the second spot in the standings. Despite a spirited fight, Kebbi fell just short, ending their campaign with 18 points. Their 2-1 away win over Sporting Supreme was not enough to propel them to the Super 8, marking a disappointing finish to an otherwise competitive season.

Kada Stars Survive, Adamawa United Relegated

In a dramatic twist, newcomers Kada Stars of Kaduna escaped relegation with a 2-1 home victory over Adamawa United. The win ensured their survival in the league while condemning Adamawa United to relegation in a high-stakes, winner-takes-all showdown.

The stage is now set for the NNL Super 8, where the best teams from each conference will battle for promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
