NNL Orders Closed-Door Match for Mighty Jets vs. Barau FC Over Security Concerns

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that the final Conference C match between Mighty Jets of Jos and Barau FC of Kano will be played behind closed doors. The fixture is set to take place at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, 18th May 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 PM, alongside other Conference C matches.

The decision was made in response to growing security concerns and fears of potential hooliganism. To ensure a smooth and incident-free encounter, the Plateau State Football Association, under the leadership of Honourable Suleiman Kwande, has been mandated to implement strict security measures. This includes the provision of adequate logistics for the seamless hosting of the match.

The NNL emphasized that the move is in line with its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of players, officials, and fans. By closing the gates to spectators, the league aims to minimize risks and guarantee a secure environment for the crucial clash.

Despite the absence of fans, all eyes will be on the pitch as Mighty Jets and Barau FC battle it out in their final showdown of the season.
