Christopher Bailey delivered a breathtaking finish to claim victory in the men’s 400m at the Keqiao Diamond League, storming through the final stretch to clock a Personal Best (PB) of 44.17s.
The American sprinter timed his surge to perfection, powering past Botswana’s Bayapo Ndori, who had to settle for second in 44.32s despite a strong effort. Fellow Botswanan Collen Kebinatshipi also impressed, finishing third with a fast 44.63s, while Vernon Norwood of the USA crossed the line in fourth at 44.93s.
Bailey’s performance marks a significant breakthrough, as he turned the tables on Ndori and threw his name firmly into the mix of top 400m contenders this season.
