Guinea-Bissau Final 25-Man Squad for AFCON 2023

Guinea-Bissau has released a list of 25 players that will represent the nation in the next Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire. The names on the list are;

Defenders: Fali Cande (Metz, France), Marcelo Djalo (Palencia, Spain), Jefferson Encada (Pharco, Egput), Edgar Ie (Istanbul Basaksehir, Turkey), Houboulang Mendes (Almeria, Portugal), Nanu (Samsunspor, Turkey), Nito (Maritimo, Portugal), Opa Sangante (Dunkerque, France).

Midfielders: Janio Bikel (Gaziantep, Turkey), Moreto Cassama (Omonia, Cyprus), Dalcio (APOEL, Cyprus), Carlos Mane (Kayserispor, Turkey), Sori Mane (Academico Viseu, Portugal), Carlos Mendes (Bolton Wanderers, England), Mauro Rodrigues (Yverdon, Switzerland), Alfa Semedo (Al Tai, Saudi Arabia).

Guinea-Bissau is in Group A alongside Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. Guinea-Bissau will open their 2023 AFCON Campaign with a game against Host Côte d'Ivoire on January 13th before facing Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria in their two remaining group games. The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will hold between 13th January to 11th February, 2024 in Côte d'Ivoire.
