NPFL Laliga U-15 Promises 2023: Remo Stars beat Plateau Utd to emerge Champions, as Sunshine Stars win third place

By Daniel Oriloye -  Remo Stars U-15 team defeated Plateau United U15 by a lone goal in the final  to emerge the cchampions of the 2023 NPFL/LaLiga U15 tournament in Ikenne.

Opeyemi Yusuf scored the only goal in the 51st minute to secure the win for his team.

The striker who scored 10 goals to emerge as the tournament highest goal scorer set a new record to become the first player to score in all the games at the tournament.

Both teams clashed for the second time at the tournament after their first meeting in the group stage where Remo Stars emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over them.

It’s now the second time in a row that Remo Stars would emerge as champions in this competition.

Earlier in the day, Sunshine Stars U15 defeated El-Kanemi Warriors by a goal to nil to secure the third place.
