Photos: Rivers United departs Nigeria for Liberia to face Watanga FC in CAF Champions League

By Emmanuel Oladele - Rivers United this morning have departed the shore of Lagos to Liberia for the second leg of their CAF Champions League First Preliminary Round second leg Game against Watanga FC. The Portharcourt based team departed Lagos on Thursday morning via Asky Airline for Liberia. The flight is expected to have a brief stopover in Lome, Togo.

Recall, the Pride of Rivers thrashed the Liberian side by 3-0 in the first leg and will hope to build on their 3-0 advantage when they face Watanga FC on Sunday 18th September, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex. The match kick off time is 5:00PM Nigeria Time.
