Ajibade, Grace Chanda, Ghizlane Chebbak, Ajara, 7 Others makes 2022 WAFCON Best Eleven of Group Phase

By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade, Zambia star Grace Chanda, 2022 WAFCON current top goalscorer Ghizlane Chebbak of Morocco, Cameroonian Nchout Ajara have all been named in the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Best Eleven of Group Phase.
Other players in the setup are; Andile Dlamini (South Africa), Lushomo Mweemba (Zambia), Osinachi Ohale (Nigeria), Zineb Redouan (Morocco), Samoa Aouni (Tunisia), Refiloe Jane (South Africa), Refilwe Thokalele (Botswana). See the line up for the best eleven below;

• Lushomo Mweemba (Zambia)

• Osinachi Ohale (Nigeria)

All the eleven players were instrumental to their teams progress to the quarter-final in the ongoing 2022 WAFCON.

Meanwhile, Tournament current top goalscorer Ghizlane Chebbak (Morocco) has be named the Best Player for the group phase, the Moroccan has scored a total of three goals in the tournament.


On the other hand, Andile Dlamini (South Africa) has also been named the Best Goalkeeper of the Group Phase. She has conceded just two goals since the beginning of the tournament and kept a clean sheet against Botswana on Sunday in their final group game.


Banyana Banyana of South Africa coach Desiree Ellis is the best coach of the Group Phase. She won all her group phase games and top group C that has Nigeria, Botswana and Burundi.
