Video: How Kano Pillars Top Official attacked the Assistant Referee in 1-0 win Over Dakkada FC

By Emmanuel Oladele - In a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 Rescheduled fixture between Kano Pillars and Dakkada FC on Thursday, it was full of drama toward the end of the game as a Kano Pillars top official ran toward the assistant referee Mr. Daramola from Ekiti State and punched him.

Kano Pillars FC took the lead in the 22nd minutes via Yusuf Maigoro strike, but in the added time (90+2'), Edidiong Ezekiel got an equaliser for Dakkada FC after connecting to a long pass. Immediately a top official of Kano Pillars ran to the assistant referee and punched him, one minute later, the goal was ruled out after center referee consultation with the assistant referee.

The League Management Company (LMC) and NFF should investigate the matter and take appropriate decisions.
