Eight NPFL Stars in Super Eagles 30-Man List for Mexico and Ecuador Friendlies

By Emmanuel Oladele - Ahead of the International Friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador, Super Eagles first assistant coach, Salish Yusuf has invited eight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) stars and 22 foreign based professionals for the big crackers.

Top of the list for the home based professionals are; Enyimba International forward Victor Mbaoma and Goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke, Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United) and Current NPFL top goalscorer Isaq Rafiu of Rivers United. See full list of All eight invited NPFL Stars below;

NPFL PLAYERS IN SUPER EAGLES 30-MAN SQUAD

• Victor Mbaoma (Enyimba International) - Forward

• Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba International) - Goalkeeper

• Isaq Rafiu (Rivers United) - Forward

• Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United) - Goalkeeper

• Babatunde Nosiru (Kwara United) - Midfielder

• Isah Ali (Remo Stars) - Defender

• Ibrahim Buhari (Plateau United) - Defender

• Chiamaka Madu (Rivers United) - Midfielder

Leicester City forward, Ademola Lookman, Rangers Joseph Aribo, Nantes forward Moses Simon and Villarreal Samuel Chukwueze top the list of invited foreign based professionals. See Super Eagles 30-man list below;

Notable absentees are; Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, Leicester duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi (Injury), Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo, Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Mexico on May 28 at the AT & T Stadium in Texas, and subsequently clash with Ecuador at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on May 2.
