NPFL New Boys Remo Stars stun MFM FC in Lagos - Matchday 1

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL 2021/22 season commenced on Friday 17th December with MFM FC of Lagos hosting Remo Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Surulere, a game where visiting Remo Stars stunned MFM FC by 2-0.

Remo Stars Qudus Akanni put the Visitors ahead in the 55th minute after a goalless first half, before Andy Okpe doubled the lead for Gbenga Ogunbote's led side in the 90th minutes. The two goals were enough to earn the NPFL new boys a desired victory of the night. It will also be a sweet victory for coach Gbenga Ogunbote who newly joined Remo Stars FC.

Remo Stars after Friday's win becomes the first team to get the first win and away win of the NPFL 2021/22 League season.
