By Emmanuel Oladele - ASFAR FC of Morocco on Saturday condemned Nigerian Champions Rivers Angels to first defeat of the maiden edition of TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League in Egypt, 3-0 it ended in favour of the Moroccan side.

Sanaa Mssoudy's hat-trick helped the Moroccan side to get a comfortable win over the Nigerian side in Group B

Also, in another Group B game, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC of South Africa defeated Vihiga Queens of Kenya by 1-0, thanks to a fourth minute strike from Melinda Kgadiete that got the South African side to a winning start in the maiden edition of the TotalEnergy CAF Women's Champions League.

ASFAR and Mamelodi Sundowns now shares same point as both are on three points each, but ASFAR are better with Goals. On the other hand, Vihiga Queens and Rivers Angels are with no point in Group B.
