2022 WCQ: Central African Republic stun Nigeria, See Group C Standing after Super Eagles' Defeat

By Emmanuel Oladele - Central African Republic stunned Nigeria on Thursday evening in a Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

The Rohr led side were so much disconnected in the midfield and did not created many chances in the first half, leading to a goalless first 45 minutes. After a goalless first half, the Super Eagles were still poor in the second half and they conceded a goal in the 90th minute to give the visitors an important away win. Karl Maxence Namnganda scored the only goal of the game and no thanks to error from defensive duo of Leon Balogun and Troost Ekong who failed to properly dealt with the ball that gifted Karl Maxence Namnganda the only goal of the game.

At the end of entire game time, It's Nigeria 0-1 Central African Republic, so it ended at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Nigeria still top Group C with 6 point after three games, Cape Verde is second, while Central Africa Republic is third. See Group C Standing.


Super Eagles of Nigeria will again play Central African Republic in matchday 4 of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier in Douala on Sunday October 10 at 14:00 Nigeria Time (+1 GMT).
