Rivers United vs Young Africans Preview: Crunch time for the "Pride of Rivers" in CAF TotalEnergies Champions League 1st preliminary round 2nd leg

*CAF TOTALENERGIES CHAMPIONS LEAGUE*

Rivers United vs Young Africans Preview: Crunch time for the "Pride of Rivers" in CAF TotalEnergies Champions League 1st preliminary round 2nd leg.

PORT HARCOURT: It's crunch time for Rivers United as they prepare for their CAF TotalEnergies Champions League first preliminary round second leg tie against Young Africans of Tanzania as 90 minutes separates them and the next round.

The "Pride of Rivers" lead 1-0 from the first leg in Dar es Salaam on Sunday, as

a spectacular goal from Moses Omoduemuke proved decisive.

A gritty determination and resilience sees Sunday's second leg at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium finely poised, with the "Pride of Rivers" aiming to consolidate on the first leg result and advance to the next round.

Securing the next round ticket looks easy on paper for the Stanley Eguma tutored side but if the words of the experience United's gaffer is anything to go by, then there is still work to be done if his team must advance.

*Eguma: We have to perfect our strategy*

Rivers United Technical Adviser Stanley Eguma says he does not want distractions for his side ahead of their CAF TotalEnergies Champions League first preliminary round second leg with Young Africans of Tanzania amid talks of second round opponent.

Eguma says his side must tackle "Yanga FC" head on and emphasized the huge opportunity United have to advance to the next round of the competition..

He said: "It's not over but you know we still have the second leg, so we will not allow the result (1-0 first leg away win) get into our heads. It's not yet time for celebration, we have to perfect our strategy, improve on our performance, get to the next round of the competition, that's the most important thing. We don't have to sleep over it.

Rivers United lead 1-0 from the first leg: Moses Omoduemuke the goal scorer. Winner will face Fasil Ketema FC of Ethiopia or Al Hilal of Sudan in the next round; follow Rivers United vs Young Africans via our dedicated live text coverage on our official Whatsapp and Facebook page on Sunday; kick-off at 4pm
