NNL Super 8: Shooting Stars thrash Ekiti United 6-0, as they secure promotion to NPFL

By Emmanuel Oladele - Shooting Stars of Ibadan on Saturday evening thrashed Ekiti United to gain promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Shooting Stars and Ekiti United today played their final group game in the Southern Conference of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8, at the end of the game, the Oluyole Warriors humiliated Ekiti United with a 6-0 victory. Goals from Chinedu Enuademu, Gafar Olafimihan (a brace), Najeem Olukokun (a brace), Anthony Okachi  condemned the Ado Ekiti based team to another defeat.

Shooting Stars have now gained promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after recording 7 points from three games. Oluyole Warriors currently top Group B, as we wait the result of the game between Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars, but it's obvious that Ekiti United will still be competing in the NNL next season for a possible promotion to the NPFL.

After the entire game time, it's Ekiti United 0-6 Shooting Stars, so it ended at the UNEC Stadium in Enugu.
