NNL Super 8: Gombe United held Niger Tornadoes to a Goalless Draw

By Emmanuel Oladele - Gombe United on Saturday in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 last conference game, held Niger Tornadoes to o goalless draw at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. Before the game, a point each was what both teams needed to get themselves to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and they have been able to achieved that. Niger Tornadoes and Gombe United finished their group campaigns with 5 points each, but Tornadoes were better with goal difference.

Niger Tornadoes won Group A Northern Conference and are through to the next season NPFL, also NNL Super 8 final which comes up on Sunday.

Gombe United are also through to next season NPFL and will also appear in the NNL Super 8 third place game on Sunday.

In the other group A game, El-Kanemi Warriors thrashed DMD FC by 3-0 but will remain in the NNL as the were only able to pick just four points from three games.
