By Emmanuel Oladele - The opening ceremony of the maiden edition of Aisha Buhari Cup took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos on Wednesday.

The event was spiced up with different cultural display of Yoruba Culture. In attendance were, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and many other big guns. The Opening game also took place on Wednesday at same venue with Super Falcons of Nigeria defeating Mali by 2-0, thanks to Gift Monday's brace that sealed the victory for Nigeria.
