USA Summer Series: Jamaica stun Nigeria in Texas

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Thursday night played their first game of the Summer Series in Texas and were stunned with a 1-0 defeat in the hand of Jamaica.

Blackwood scored the only goal of the game that gave the Raggae Girls the victory of the Night.

Nigeria dominated the game but failed to covert their chances. Super Falcons and Spanish based Goalkeeper Tochuckwu Oluehi was at the top of her game, saving a penalty and preventing several power strikes of the Jamaicans from counting.

Some newly introduced players in the team also had a great game, most especially the Payne sisters (Toni Oyedupe and Nicole) were busy tormenting Jamaica defence and creating some very good chances that were not converted.

After the entire game time, it's Jamaica 1-0 Nigeria, so it ended at the BBVA Stadium in Houston, Texas. Up next is Portugal.
