Aside Iheanacho, See three other Super Eagles Stars that have won the Premier League Player of the Month Award

By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Eagles and Leicester City forward on Friday was named Premier League Player of the Month for March. The Nigerian beat the likes of, Harry Kane, Riyad Mahrez, Lingard, Luke Shaw among others, to win the monthly award.

Aside Kelechi Iheanacho, three other Super Eagles Stars have won the Premier League Player of the Month.

Former Super Eagles Stars and Captain, Jay Jay Okocha won the Premier League Player of the Month award in November 2003.

Peter Osaze Odemwingie won the award thrice, in September 2010, April 2011 and February 2012.

In December 2015, former Super Eagles Striker Odion Jude Ighalo also won the Premier League Player of the month. Kelechi Iheanacho feat on Friday makes him the fourth Nigerian and Super Eagles Star to have won the prestigious award.
