The Ibadan soccer lords scored in the first half through Akilu Muhammed and were able to hold onto to the goal, shrugging off numerous attempts by the homers to level up.

"Today (Saturday), I saw in my players, the spirit of Warriors. Playing on a pitch like this was really frustrating but they adapted and gave their best.

"All of them, from the goalkeeper to the defenders, to the midfielders and to the attackers, they all did very well, I give it to them", said Esin as the gaffer is fondly called.

The former Shooting Stars' forward said with the players performance on Saturday, on such a bumpy pitch, the team can play on any pitch.

He however, played down the seven games unbeaten run, stressing that the team will continue to work towards perfection.
