Manchester United lead race to sign Brazilian forward

By Emmanuel Oladele - According to Spanish Newspaper Sport, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Brazilian youngster Gabriel Veron.

The 18-year-old Striker was impressive with Palmeiras in the Séria A (Brazil League) and the Copa Libertadores, where Palmeiras will face Flamengo in the final.

Veron has scored 8 goals for his club with three assists in 33 appearances.

The Brazilian has a release clause of £53m in his contract, but Palmeiras could sell the young striker for £18m.
