Minister, Pinnick train with Super Eagles just like the Deputy Governor

By Olamide Oyetunji - The Super Eagles 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone has attracted some moments of comic relief with the team welcoming some visitors on the turf of the newly refurbished Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.

Preparation has commenced fully on Tuesday evening with Edo state Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu showing off his ball playing skills by involving himself in the team's training alongside the professional players invited by Gernot Rohr.

The Deputy Governor's who is also a registered player for the traditional native club Bendel Insurance drew contrast reviews from the public and social media.

Super Eagles had their final training on Thursday and it was officially scheduled to be a closed door practice event but two key administrators made their entrance into the pitch with their full kits.

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare and the President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick joined the players with the team's technical crew losing some control in terms of leadership and organization.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles Covid-19 test results are out with each member of the team testing negative as announced by the media department of the team.
