By Emmanuel Oladele - Chelsea will kick off their 2020/21 premier league season on Monday 14 September, but there are some good and bad news ahead of the season opener against Brighton as some key players have recovered from injury, while some are still on the sideline.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James are expected to return to action when Chelsea trade tackles with Brighton after recovering from a minor knocks.

Pulisic is still doubtful though the playmaker is recovering fast from the injury he sustained from FA Cup final loss to Arsenal last month.
The duo of
Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell will miss Chelsea premier league season opener due to injury. Ziyech is out with the knee injury he sustained against Brighton 12 days ago, though the Moroccan could pass a late fitness test, but presently he stands to miss Chelsea opener.
On the other hand,
Ben Chilwell is still recovering from the injury he suffered to his heel in Leicester City 3-0 triumph over Crystal Palace in July.
Chelsea most talked about signing
Kai Havertz is training well and should be available on Monday.
Another new signing
Thiago Silva has arrived in London but will have to take Coronavirus test before he can join the rest of the team, a success in the testing will determine his chance to join Chelsea training and could be available on Monday if things work out fine.
