Former Falconets Star Esther Sunday join Turkish Club

By Emmanuel Oladele - Former Nigeria Female U-20 star Esther Sunday has joined Turkish Women's First Football League side, ALG SPOR KULÜBÜ.

The 28-year-old who formerly played for Konak Belediyespor of Turkey took to his verified Facebook account to announce her move, "I'm so happy to announce my new club ALG SPOR. Want to say a very big thank you to my previous team Konak for their love and support and wish them all the best. ALG SPOR my new home and family," the former Pelican Stars posted on Tuesday night.

Esther Sunday was part of Nigeria U-20 female players that won Silver in 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany where Nigeria lost 2-0 to the host, Germany, in the final.
Ukpong Esther Sunday has also played for the Nigeria National Senior Women's Team (Super Falcons) on several occasions.

At club level, she has played for Sunshine Queens and Pelican Stars in the Nigeria Women Football League, also FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League.
