Photos: Meet Former Nigeria Super Falcons Star who married an Award Winning Journalist

By Emmanuel Oladele - Mercy Akide Udoh is a former Nigeria Super Falcons star who got married to an award winning Sport Journalist Colin Udoh.

Mercy Akide was born on August 26th 1975 in Rivers State of Nigeria, Port Harcourt to be precise and represented the Nigeria Women National Senior Team at different competitions.

Mercy Akide Udoh got married to an award winning Journalist Colin Udoh in November 2004, and they have two daughters.

Colin Udoh is one of the big names when it comes to Sport Journalism in Nigeria, he is well know with then popular sport magazine 'Kickoff Nigeria', he previously work with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as Super Eagles Media officer and currently work with Kwese Sport.

Mercy Akide played as midfielder during her days with the Super Falcons and she also played for football clubs in Nigeria like, Garden City Queen where she started her professional career before joining Jegede Babes and subsequently played for Ufuoma Babes and Pelican Stars.

She also had some spell will clubs outside Nigeria, in 1999 Mercy Akide moved to the United State where she joined Melligan College/Hampton Roads Piranha, she also played for San Diego Spirit before hanging her boots.

The Lengend Mercy Akide is currently working as a Football coach.
