FIFA Postpones FIFA U-17 and U-20 Women's World Cup to 2021 Due to Covid-19

By Olamide Oyetunji - The entire world is battling with the current situation of the coronavirus that had put everything to standstill including Sporting activities.
World soccer governing body, FIFA have reached a final decision that the U20 and U17 Women's World Cup slated for 2020 will now be staged in 2021 following the continued spread of coronavirus pandemic.
Nigeria women teams (Falconets and Flamingoes) were close to qualifying for the biennial international women's youth football championship when the break of COVID-19 threw the qualification rounds into disarray.
With the dates for the remaining fixtures of the qualifying tournament yet to be communicated, FIFA have announced that the U20 and U17 womens global showpiece has been rescheduled to hold between 20 January to 6 February 2021 and 17 February to 7 March 2021 respectively.
