Emmanuel Dennis reveals how he was tagged a Belgian Champion

By Ilekhuoba Taiye - A few weeks back, Club Brugge were crowned Belgian League Champions for the 2019/2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Belgian were 15 points ahead of KAA Gent who finished as runners up with a game at hand.

The Nigeria International has revealed how he was tagged Champion by someone, "I was at my friends', we were playing ping pong, I saw somebody tagged me in something and I went to look, I said to my friend, 'go and check', and he said 'yeah, you're champions, congratulations'."
"It's a strange way [to win], but that's life".

"Normally we would have a party but that's not possible right now so what I'm going to do is stay home with my friends and girlfriend and just drink some champagne." Dennis added.

The 22 year old also assented that a move away from the club might be conceivable but will fancy winning the Belgian cup final.

Speaking about his future, Dennis told Sky Sports News: "I like challenges. I've been here for three years. My focus right now is, I have one more game this season - the Cup Final - which I want to win, that's really important to me. After then, we'll see what happens, you never know."
The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, has been linked with a move to the premier league after Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United and Sheffield United have reportedly showed interest in the forward. His club manager, Philippe Clement conversed with the Belgian media and noted that Dennis is “likely” to exit the Breydel Stadium this season.

Dennis has scored 9 goals for Club Brugge in all competitions this season including his heroics against Spanish giants, Real Madrid in the Champions League.
