History: India 99-1 Nigeria, How it Happened, Facts and Others

In those days as young football supporters, our elders told many of us about India vs Nigeria historical game which ended 99-1 in favour of India, another story claimed that it's a world cup game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

We were told that whenever India have any shot on target, it will automatically becomes goal as the ball could either turn to a Lion and goalkeeper will run away from the goalpost, Stone that the goalkeeper will have to make way for it or splits to many balls in which our goalkeeper will aim at one and the remaining ones that have entered the net will now joined together to become the real ball with the help of charm (magical power). It was also revealed that as a result of using such charm in football, they were banned forever.
FACTS

There is no record of FIFA banning India in 1950, they withdrew from the 1950 world Cup deliberately with many reasons from All India Football Federation (AIFF), though historians have it that, they withdrew because of the ban FIFA imposed on player playing bare-foot.

As a Journalist, I searched through India football history from 1920 when they started until date and there is no record of 99-1 in all the games they have ever played.

Now we have grown, India vs Nigeria 99-1 game could be a story organised by one of our elders, Nigeria never lost 99-1 to India in the history of football, now you know the truth.
