But Chelsea seems to have outsmarted the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal as reports says the Blues have held secret talks with Coutinho's representatives on a possible move to Stamford Bridge, this might be putting Chelsea in good position to sign the 27-year-old Brazilian ahead of other Premier League side who are also interested in the player.
Moreover, Chelsea are also known to be having superb relationship with Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian and that could also help the Blues in getting the deal done.
The midfielder who is currently on loan from Barcelona to Bayern Munich but has failed to leave up to expectation, the German side will no longer consider the option of signing the Brazilian on a permanent basis.
Barcelona reportedly want a fee around £80m for Philippe Coutinho who is currently struggling with his career.
