Manchester United are chasing Ajax playmaker

As manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seek to bolster his squad during ongoing January transfer window, United are considering a move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek according to report from ESPN.

United have suffered this season in their midfield as key players went on the sideline, the 22-year-old Donny van de Beek is seen as the solution to Solskjaer's midfield problem.

The midfielder was instrumental to Ajax semifinal spot in the UEFA Champions League last season, though they were eliminated by Tottenham Hotspur.

Ajax could be willing to accept good offers from other European teams as they are already missing out on a lot of prize money as they were unable to reach this season UEFA Champions League knockout stage.
