Osimhen Miss Spot-kick in Lille OSC victory

The Fine display by Super Eagles Striker was overshadowed by his miss from 18 yards as the Great Danes silenced Michel Der Zakarian’s side.

The 20-year-old, who was left out of the Great Danes’ 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday was handed a starter’s role against La Paillade.
In the 90th minute, Osimhen had a golden chance to give his team a three-goal advantage and also get his 10th league goal from the penalty mark, but he had his kicked saved by Rulli who guessed the right way.

Youngster Renato Sanches scored a spectacular late winner to give Lille a 2 -1 victory over Montpellier on Friday as a fourth successive Ligue 1 triumph kept them on course for a Champions League spot .

Portuguese international Sanches, his club ’ s most expensive buy when he signed for 20 million euros from Bayern Munich in the sumer , struck the decisive goal in the 84th minute .

Jonathan Ikone had opened the scoring for Lille from the penalty spot just before the interval only for Andy Delort to level in the 74th minute from a rare Montpellier attack .
Victor Osimhen missed a penalty in Lille’s 2-1 triumph over Montpellier in Friday’s Ligue 1 showdown.

Lille were worthy winners as they look to return to the Champions League next season after a miserable campaign this time round which saw them lose five of six group games .

Thanks to the win, Lille are third in the log with 31 points from 18 games.

Victor Osimhen has scored four times in nine senior international appearances for the Super Of Nigeria with three of those coming in November 2019 against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
