Five possible transfer targets for Chelsea in January window

With Chelsea now free to sign new players following a transfer ban that was lifted today at the Court of Arbitration for Sports, five players have been identified as possible transfer targets for the Blues during the upcoming January tranfer window.

At the top of the list is Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho who is currently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. The English forward has been fantastic for the Bundesliga Giants this season, a successful deal for the hitman will provide some strength to Chelsea attack.

Second on the list is Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell, who has being one of the key players in Brendan Rodgers line-up this season, as the team are currently second on the English Premier League log.

Chelsea are also interested in signing former defensive midfielder Nathan Ake from Bournemouth, though the deal seems impossible, but a source revealed that a buy-back clause of £40m was included in the deal that took the midfielder away from Stamford Bridge in 2017.
Report from Sky Sports News also confirmed the interest of Chelsea in CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov. The 23-year-old attacker who turned down a move to Crystal Palace in the summer may put pen into paper for the Stamford Bridge outfit come January.

Frank Lampard is also targeting Ivorian and Crystal Palace striker Wilfred Zaha, but there are speculations that five other teams are interested in the striker but Chelsea is believed to be the favourite among the six clubs seeking for the service of the pacy attacker.

Chelsea will hope to judiciously used the cash realized from the sales of Eden Hazard, David Luis and Alvaro Morata in the summer when the January Transfer window opens.
