Gernot Rohr walking on tight rope as Super Eagles Coach

Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr could vacate his current coaching position according to the latest fear emanating from the glass house.

With his contract validity period evaporating in the next six months, there are concerns whether or not the Franco-German gaffer will like to continue as Super Eagles Coach next year.
The Super Eagles had a decent 2019 winning nine out of 14 matches and also along the line capturing the Bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations that took place in Egypt where 24 teams competed.

The Nigeria Football Federation are adamant and serious about moderating some contractual terms and stipulations which also includes Gernot Rohr staying as permanent residence of Nigeria while also giving the Nigeria Professional Football League a top priority in scouting and talent hunt.

And with the positive starts to the next tournament journey which is the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Cameroon after victories against Benin Republic and Lesotho in the past days, the 66-year-old who is a target of many Football Federations is not bothered about the uncertainty especially as there won't be any official or important engagement till June.

"Again I’m confused because I am not here to speak about my contract, Rohr stated at the Post match of the Lesotho versus Nigeria.

“We have a good team and I enjoy to coach this team of course, and we have project also, we have young players, we are progressing and we started very well in this competition and competition will continue after the end of my contract, so the ball is in the camp of the officials now", Rohr added
