TOKYO 2020 - Sudan 1-0 Nigeria: Young Eagles Fail to Deliver

The Dream Team suffered a setback in their quest to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games after a 1-0 defeat against the Sudanese U-23 team in Omdurman on Thursday.

A solitary goal by Walaa Eldin on the dot of half-time was all the North Africans needed to overpower their visitors in the encounter that also serves as AFCON U-23 championship qualifier.
The star-studded Imama Amakpakabo tutored Nigerians couldn't make their dominance count with attacking duo of Liverpool loanee, Taiwo Awoniyi and Belgian based Stephen Odey guilty of not putting chances away.

The return leg fixture is scheduled for Tuesday 10th of September at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
