The Flying Eagles of Nigeria were today eliminated from the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland. Goals from Amadou Sagna and Ibrahima Niane in the first half, 36' and 45'+3 respectively, were enough to send the Young Teranga Lions into the quarter-final of the competition.
Success Makanjuola lone strike in the 50th minute of the second half only brought consolation to the Aigbogun led side but was unable to send the young eagles to the quarter-final.
Nigeria will now have to go back to the drawing board as usual. The Flying Eagles of Nigeria representing the country at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland have been eliminated from the competition.
