Madagascar stun Poor Eagles in Alexandria

Poor Super Eagles team were stunned by lowly rated Madagascar in their last group game on Sunday in Alexandria, 2-0 it ended in favour of Madagascar who were the better side considering their quality of play in the game.

Defensive blunder from Brighton defender Leon Balogun cheaply earned Madagascar Lalaïna Nomenjanahary the ball, taking off Ezenwa Ikechukwu before sending the ball to an empty net with his left foot in the 13th minute of the amazing encounter.

Nigeria missed a couple of chances that could have restored parity to the team in the first half. 

The first half of the encounter ended 1-0 in favour of determined Madagascar side.

In the second half, Carolus Andriamatsinoro freekick was deflected home by Ahmed Musa in the 53rd minute, leaving Ezenwa with no option of saving the ball.
Nigeria defence, midfield and attack were nothing to write home about in the stunning encounter on Sunday evening.

After 90 minutes, it Nigeria 0-2 Madagascar, so it ended in Alexandria, Group final game.
