Goals from Thapelo Moreno, Themba Zwane and Lebohang Maboe for Memelodi Sundowns shattered Lobi Stars dream of progressing into the quarter-final of this season CAF Champions League.
The Nigerian outfit were well prepared to defeat the South Africans to keep their hope of getting to the quarter-final alive, but Sundowns stole the show with a 3-0 win and confirmed their spot in the quarter-final.
The first leg encounter between both teams in Nigeria had Lobi Stars defeating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1.
The Nigerian outfit will now return to the drawing board to work things out. Recently Nigerian teams have been poor in the CAF Champions League.
After 90 minutes, it Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Lobi Stars, so it ended in South Africa.
