Lobi Stars of Makurdi will begin their CAF Champions League Group Stage campaign today Friday 11th January when the face South Africa Soccer Powerhouse and 2016 CAF Champions League Champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The match will be held at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu, the match kickoff time is 5:00pm West Africa Standard Time (same as Nigeria Time) and 19:00 South Africa Time.
This is the first time both teams will be meeting and it's going to be a very tough game.
42-year-old Egyptian born Ghead Grisha will work as the center referee and will be assisted by fellow country men Tahssen Abo and Mahmoud Abo El Regah who will serve as the first and second assistant referee respectively.
