Last weekend, the MTN FAZ Super League of Zambia switched into high gear as teams tussled in their respective Week 33 league matches.
Defending champions and league leaders Zesco United continued their push towards another league title with a hard fought win over Kitwe United at Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola, Copperbelt Province. Nkana FC of Kitwe, Green Buffalos of Lusaka, Green Eagles (Choma) and Zanaco Fc (Lusaka) are also still in contention for the title and are in hot persuit.
Bottom placed New Monze Swallows made their relegation nightmare even worse when they failed to make the 700+km trip north from their Southern Province base to play Power Dynamos of Kitwe.
The next round of league matches will be on Wednesday, 19th September with a package of Week 36 (brought forward) encounters.
