Ronaldo's double gets Madrid back to winning ways

Cristiano Ronaldo was back in action for Real Madrid as they bounced back to winning ways after they suffered a midweek defeat against Catalonia side Espanyol.

The Portuguese captain grabbed a brace while fellow Welsh winger Gareth Bale scored one goal to condemn Gatefe to a 3-1 defeat in Saturday LA Liga game.

Ronaldo doubled Madrid lead in added time of the first half after receiving the ball from Karim Benzema to score his 300th LA Liga goal in 286th appearance after Gareth bale has put the Los Blancos ahead in the 24th minute of the encounter.

Getafe were reduced to 10men after Loic Remy was shown the matching order after a silly challenge on Nacho but they were able to pull one back when Francis Portilo converted a spot in the 65th minute after nacho had brought down Jorge Molina inside the box.

Cristiano Ronaldo got his second of the game when he headed home Marcelo's cross to give Madrid a comfortable win.

The Zinedane Zidane lead team will be hoping that their star man keeps his fantastic goal scoring form as they head to France for their 2nd leg of their champions league round of 16 match against PSG on Tuesday.
