Gernot Rohr: I am happy with the comeback victory

Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr has express joy over the way and manner his team took apart Argentina in Krasnodar Russia on Tuesday.

The Nigerian senior national team came from two goals down to scatter a star studded La Albiceleste with two goals from Alexander Iwobi and a goal each from Brian Idowu and Kelechi Iheanacho.

"I am happy we came back from two goals down to win 4-2. It shows we have great team spirit and determination, when you keep fighting after going two goals down against a great team like Argentina."

The Franco-German also said that there is still a lot of work to be done ahead of the World Cup in 2018.

“It’s good victory for us but it doesn’t mean we’ve become favorites to win the World Cup. We must stay humble and realize we have more work to do."

“We prepared well for this game because playing Argentina is big for us, maybe it is different for them.”
