English FA throw Uppercut at NFF: Tammy Abraham Handed a Call-up

The Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate has handed out an international call up to Tammy Abraham, ensuring that the chance of him possibly featuring for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Russia 2018 is still on the balance.

The likes of Ruben Loftus Cheek and Joe Gomez were also called up to play a part in executing the international friendlies against Germany and Brazil later this month.
All three put up impressive performances for Aidy Boothroyd’s England under 21 side and are being rewarded with their first call up to the England senior team.

Abraham came out in September to deny reports that he had opted to represent Nigeria at the National level. The possibility is still high as he would still be eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria even after taking part in the friendlies according to FIFA rules.
