Awoniyi on target for Dutch side

Nigerian International Taiwo Awoniyi was on target for Dutch side NEC Nijmegen as they recorded a 2-0 victory over Heerenveen on Sunday.

Arnaut Groeneveld's 23rd minute strike gave NEC Nijmegen a 1-0 lead in the first half before Taiwo Awoniyi came off the bench to score the second goal for the relegation-threatened side. Awoniyi's introduction in te 55th further strengthen the attack of the Dutch side as they looked dangerous anytime the launch attack. The Nigerian International justified his introduction 9 minutes later with a great header to give NEC Nijmegen a 2-0 victory over the home side Heerenveen.
25-year-old Bosnia Herzegovina International Dario Dumic was fantastic in the Eredivisie encounter providing an assist for each of the goal scored in each half.

After 90 minutes Heerenveen 0-2 NEC Nijmegen. NEC Nijmegen finish 16th on Eredivisie log with 34 points from 34 games ahead of Roda FC and Go Ahead Eagles. NEC Nijmegen has now sealed a relegation play-off spot.
