Super Eagles of Nigeria are now ranked Number five in Africa following the latest Fifa Ranking released on Thursday by the world soccer governing body in Zurich.
Nigeria is now 40 according to Fifa as Egypt took over at the top of the continental standings, with Senegal now in second, while Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Nigeria complete the top five.
Russia 2018 Oppositions Algeria and Zambia are 54th and 64th respectively while African Nations Cup qualifying foes South Africa and Libya occupy the 64th and 91st position in the global ranking while the last opponent Seychelles are ranked 196th.
On the global standings, Brazil replaced Argentina at the top of the pile, a position the Samba Kings last held in 2010, with Germany and Chile remaining unmoved in third and fourth respectively, while Spain cap off the top-10.
