Ekong Named in the Belgian Team of the Week

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has been rewarded with a team of the week selection following his fine performance for Gent in their 2-0 win over Zulte-Waregem.

Troost-Ekong was selected by respected Belgian website Voetbakrants.com as one of the best eleven players in the league after the conclusion of the last round of games, which was in the Belgium play-off.
The Olympic bronze medalist has been fantastic all season from Hungarian league where he was captain of his former club on loan to breaking into the Gent first eleven after he was recalled by the club.

Ekong was positioned as left side Central Back in a team with 3-5-2 formation and he is expected to be listed as part of the Super Eagles squad for African Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa in June.
