Benatia Ashamed of Afcon Pitches

Juventus of Italy defender Medhi Amine El Mouttaqi Benatia has blame his team Caf Africa Cup Nations failure on pitches.
The 29 year old who is currently on loan from Bayern Munich described the playing turf as something to be ashamed of and a disgrace to Africa Football according to ahramonline
The Atlas Lions were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the competition following a 1-0 loss to Egypt at the venue, which also courted criticism from the Pharaohs and Ghana.
"The arena was a disaster. I felt ashamed to play on such a pitch," Benatia is quoted as saying.
"It's not an excuse but this popular competition must be held in better conditions."

The Juventus man added: "We played well and were able to scare our opponents. We apologised to the Moroccan fans but we can return back home with our shirts wet claiming we did our best."
Morocco were eliminated by finalists Egypt at the quarter final stage courtesy of a late goal by Kharaba on Gabon's Stade de Port-Gentil pitch.
