Asisat Oshoala Voted the Nigeria Football and Others Media Group Female Player of 2016

Arsenal Ladies forward, Asisat Oshoala have been Voted the best female Nigeria player of 2016 by the members of Nigeria football and others media group.

The 22year old won with a slim vote after a tightly contested final stage with French based striker Desire Oparanozie.

The race started with seven nominees namely :
Desire Oparanozie who had 8Votes, Chioma Wogu with 1Vote, Rasheedat Ajibade with massive 8Votes. Votes were not enough for Alaba Jonathan and Osinachi Ohale who both had 3Votes each while Ngozi Okobi was let down by 2Votes but Asisat Oshoala won the round with 12Votes.

The final stage saw Desire Oparanozie whose goal won Awcon 2016 for Nigeria slug it out with best youth player in the country Rasheedat Ajibade and Asisat Oshoala but the Awcon 2016 top scorer pipped Oparanozie by the last vote.
